My first Post-A Christian Perspective on Technology

Imagine a world without technology for a second.  What would this world look like with out the millions of technological advances in just the past few years? Even if we narrow the technology field down to just the advances in the personal computer and the internet, the number of times we rely on technology is outstanding.  What would the world look like without Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Google+, Email, and Blogs?  People are addicted to their computers, their Facebook accounts and their twitter feeds.  Americans are constantly "in touch" with their 500+ Facebook friends, whether they use a computer or Smart Phones.  Americans are constantly tweeting about everything their kid accomplishes in a day.  I'm not writing this to criticize technology; in fact, I think technology is a great thing...when used in moderation. But many people today rely solely on technology to establish and maintain relationships with family, friends, and dare I say their God.  Technology should not be the principle means of maintaing a relationship it should only assist.    I believe technology can be a great means for communication when used the right way; however, I also believe that technology hinders relationships between other people and God.
